My Podcast & Streaming Setup

Podcast-Gear-And-Setup

Over the last year or two I’ve been slowly putting together my home office & podcast/streaming setup. This setup has mainly been used for streaming video games, but I’ve had a nerd/gaming podcast floating around in the cloud of possible things to do with my free time lately so you may see some more about that soon.

Listed below are the bits and pieces of my setup. I’d recommend them to anyone interested in getting themselves started with some beginner’s casting equipment. I’m including list prices with each, but note that the actual prices are much lower, and you can get free shipping on everything with Amazon Prime!

I hope my recommendations were of some help to you! This setup is fairly well priced and should be everything you need (in addition to a laptop or desktop computer) to get started with a podcast, screencast, or online streaming.

If you’re looking for streaming software, I recommend OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). It’s free, and has performed perfectly for me so far. I’ve tested both the Mac and Windows clients and greatly prefer the Windows client if you have the option to choose.

Also, checkout streampro.io for some sweet all-in-one twitch.tv free streaming tools!

As far as editing software goes, I use Adobe Premiere Pro 2014 (via Creative Cloud). If that’s out of your price range, then I can only recommend caution looking for cheaper options. Make sure to do your homework!
