Memorial Day Weekend 2014

Greetings! I hope you had a pleasant and restful Memorial Day weekend. The office was closed today, but I still wanted to write a short blog to keep my daily streak alive.

I spent most of my time trying to relax and recover this weekend. Last week was a difficult week, but we made it through and grew in the process (Read Friday’s Blog – Sprint 1 Review). I’m expecting this shortened week to be very different from last week as I think we’ll finally be looking at the ASP.NET MVC web app as a whole and not just the C# classes we’ve been working with. I will appreciate being able to see a UI built over what we’ve been working on so far. It’s an exciting next step!

Bed Time!

I spent some time watching my precious little nieces this weekend, spent not a few hours lost in novels, ran some errands, did laundry, caught up with some friends, tried a challenging new board game, did some writing, bought myself two birthday presents, enjoyed a fantastic nut brown ale I’ve never tried before, and reflected quite a bit on my performance last week. I won’t rehash friday’s blog, but whew. If you read it, you’ll understand why I am thankful we had today off. My brain needed it.

That’s enough about me.

Today we remember the more than one million men and women who have given their lives in the armed service of the United States of America. (more) (more)

Have a blessed week.
